No kidding...it seems the Liberty folks are really proud of that endowment and take offense to the "fledgling program" statement....getting good use out of those Sunday collection plates I guess...

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to BeardoMSU again.

Had to throw some rep at Tusk too for setting that one up on the tee.

Wow. That is SO spot on.
That main part should be pinned somewhere so recruits could read it every year. It was an organizational misinformation campaign.

I'm a Presbyterian now, but I grew up a Baptist. It disturbs me that Liberty hired Freeze. It disturbs me when they have the AD that they do. Obviously we shouldn't judge and repentance can be genuine. But we are also not supposed make it more difficult for the unsaved. Liberty hiring Freeze and that AD sends a message. Liberty, is that your message?

Liberty was a joke way before Freeze. Jerry Farewell is disgusting and so is his legacy ie Liberty

Liberty's message has been a bunch of bullshit long before freezus and then Baylor AD came to town. Jerry and his kid have never really practiced what they preached.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Freeze comes out and plays the "Ole Miss made me cheat" card at some point.

I think it's true to an extent. The whole reason he got into the SEC in coaching was because he was willing to play Ole Miss's games in the first place. Of course it's why his reputation will always be tarnished as well.

I also think Freeze is a trashy person in general as well. So it's not all Ole Miss either.

I would love ole Hey Hugh to accept that confession is good for the soul and come clean on national TV and to the NCAA. Burn it down!

Haven't seen it mentioned, but in his press conference Freeze acknowledged that Taco Tuohy had flown in for it! While they've known each other for years, I found that odd...

That figures, it's a convoluted mess of a cast of interconnected characters each a nefarious as the next.

It's strange to me how all the Freeze/Liberty apologists keep taking the angle of "you can't talk about Freeze's sin because you've sinned too!"

Uh yes I can. I've never cheated on my wife, and I've never slept with a prostitute (which is illegal in its own right, and also there is a strong overlap between prostitution rings and human trafficking rings, adding a whole level to the grossness factor), and by sleeping with prostitutes on the side, he also potentially exposed his wife to STDs without her knowledge, which is also illegal. And it would be one thing if Freeze were super remorseful and owned what he did instead of painting himself as the victim, but we all know that's not the case.

So yes, I have done some things which would be considered sins in my life, but never anything on the level that Hugh Freeze has done, therefore it's not hypocritical of me to call him out on it. That's presumably also true for Dan Wetzel and most of Freeze's other detractors here and elsewhere.

The reason Freeze still gets called over his mistakes is because he’s never owned them for one second. He’s always downplayying and saying things like “I didn’t totally honor my wife” or “everything being represented isn’t accurate”. People that are full of shit always speak in open-ended phrases and give themselves loopholes to jump through. If Freeze stands up and says, “I called escorts, I dishonored my wife, I embarrassed my children, and for that I’m sorry” most of this is over. He’s constantly trying to spin and image of himself that’s fake, even to this day. The way he uses religion to do that makes it that much more terrible.

This is absolutely correct, the guy has never and will never own any of it. The guy is complete trash.

Absolutely correct! Freeze has played the victim card. If he would man up, own it, and apologize then many would let it pass. He still won't acknowledge that he basically tried to ruin Nutt's life and reputation.
