Think rookie deals are 4 year deals, unless you are a first round pick. Team option for 5th year on first round picks

If they know he's their guy going forward, they'll probably put a new deal up at the end of this season just to get it out of the way. Dak is going to get paid.

If they make the playoffs, he is 100% getting paid. If they don't, he probably still gets paid.

He has one more year on his rookie deal but I think they get it done before his last year. He already received a bonus for outperforming his rookie deal along with his endorsement money. It will be interesting if he gives them a deal similar to Tom Brady or if he gets as much as possible. They also have to sign Demarcus Lawrence this year unless they want to tag him. They still have one more year before they have to worry about Zeke.

PAID. He's going to get $25+ million per year.

Any chance Dallas will use the fact that Dak's childhood Dream Team is Dallas by offering him a little less than normal?

He deserves a 7 year 120 mill deal.

They may offer him less, but I doubt that'd be the reason. In all honesty, you can look at Detroit and Green Bay as prime examples of what happens when you spend so much on the QB, you lose the ability to pay enough good guys to stay around him; yeah, Rodgers has that huge contract, but I bet his team doesn't sniff another SB...

If Dak takes less, hopefully it's because he sees the value in saving enough cap space to keep the rest of the young talent on the team around long enough for them to win some playoff games.
