Yep, I used to fly from Houston to Jackson in 50 minutes for $59 bucks. Now have to go to Birmingham.

I drove 17 hours one way from Millington, TN to Miami for the Orange Bowl a few years ago. Did stop in Flagler Beach for the night to break up the trip. And I've driven twice to Jacksonville, 11 hrs. one way in one day. Not too bad....took some timely breaks and didn't rush. Air travel is just too expensive lately.

Spirit also has some cheap ass flights from Nola. I?d prefer to take SW from here but Spirit is an option. Maybe frontier too.

Screw Southwest. You can fly Frontier from Jackson to Orlando dirt cheap, and drive to Tampa. It's only an hour and a half away. That's what I will be doing.

Just booked southwest on points. Should be a fun trip, considering work prevented me from making three away games and five home games. Least amount of games I?ve been to in 20 years. Not going to games has been somewhat depressing this year. It?s onenof the things every year that help me forget about the other things that are real stressors.

Be careful with Frontier. They will cancel flights in a heartbeat. Had that happen to some friends that took the same trip from Jackson to Orlando last week. They found out on their way to the airport that the flight was canceled.

I was able to find a same day flight from Birmingham to Tampa nonstop round trip for 281.96 each person. Due to work that was my only viable option. Departs Birmingham at 6 arriving at 8:25 local time in Tampa. Return flight departs Tampa at 9:05 and arrives in Birmingham at 9:35 Local time. With the game at 12EST I should be good as far as time constraints.

I drove to the Grand Cannon in two days from Brandon. I drove home from Jacksonville last season right after the game. I will probably do the same this bowl game.

I'll be on that return flight due to work as well. I wasn't going to get to go until I looked to see how cheap flights were.
