for some of the poor officiating that the SEC has inflicted upon us this year? Was this part of a deal that IB worked out with Sankey? Outback would normally take SEC west #3 as I understand and that is tamu.

Nope. There is no requirement to take the #3. Citrus is the only bowl that has a requirement.

I don’t think Citrus has a requirement. I think it’s that they are the only bowl who gets to choose with no SEC input. The rest are chosen by the SEC

Citrus does have a requirement on their end. They get the highest ranked team not in the 6 (I think we’re saying the same thing). The rest have no say as far as that. They simply suggest a list of teams with their preference.

Well, we don't know that we have the Outback yet but if we do, we should get it just for the shaft we got from them in '99 where they took a 7-4 GA team over a 9-2 MSU team.

Amen. And I?ll throw in getting left at home w a 7-4 record. Was that in 97?

Not enough bowls that year. We lost to UM and the winner was going to a bowl. They went to the Motor City Bowl in Detroit with a 7-4 record.

I still think Outback vs Mich St. That was the talk a couple weeks ago.

Iowa is 8-4 and Michigan state is 7-5. Iowa has a better chance going to outback over Michigan State
