Sucks and hope it's not too bad. Wish him a speedy recovery.

In all honesty, clicking on the thread title I was expecting worse news than a concussion.

Praying for you, Nathan! Great kid! Yeah a concussion is terrible but I was expecting blown out knee or worse.

He's back in. Been all over the field. His team isn't playing well and they're being schooled coaching wise.

He's got a great motor and work ethic. He's gonna fit right in with the culture of our team.

Do they have concussion protocol in high school? It was not an issue when I payed HS ball, we didn't know any better.

Yep and it's more protective than college. At least here on the coast. If they even think the kid is woosy he is out \

Here at West Jones, if you are found to have a concussion you are out immediately and you remain out until 2 weeks AFTER the doctor has cleared you and a report goes to MHSAA. My son dived for a foul ball and slammed his head into the brick backstop. The trainer immediately took him out and the HC went over concussion protocol with us. We took him to ER they performed a scan and determined he did not have a concussion so he was cleared to return to normal activities.

Correct. That's what he went out for. Banged his head on the turf. He's getting double and triple teamed but still making some plays. Baker will make him a beast.

Crosby is going to be a good RB. Have to see how he develops.

He's got probably 5-8 tackles and two fumbles caused. Just slammed the Wv RB.

You don't go out of a game for a concussion and then get reinserted a few plays later. You go out of a game to be tested for a concussion and once you pass that test you are then allowed to go back in.

So to sum this thread up, he laid a hard hit, causing a fumble, then had to stay down for a second. No diagnosed concussion, then finished the game?

Pretty deceiving thread title. Not surprised to see Gun try to toss a little fuel on the drama fire and cry the sky is falling.

Good talk. Have a good weekend everyone.

He hit his head on the turf and was down and helped off the field after a couple mins. They took him to the tent and he was out a couple series before coming back in.

Yet you started the thread by calling it a concussion and got other posters all worried for nothing thus the point of my post stating that you shouldn't call it a concussion if the player goes back into the game.

Because that’s what they checked him for. Even the announcers said it. Now, why would a concussion worry posters? That’s not a career ending injury. You bitch all the time like a 13 year old girl. GTF out of here with that shit.

Yet you didn't say they are checking him for a concussion you deemed it a concussion. Concussions can be bad enough to end careers dude. Don't post misleading shit and I won't have to correct your misleading post. You could have corrected yourself after seeing you had mislead other posters yet you still didn't do that. Maybe you've got a career in celebrity gossip waiting on you.
