View Full Version : David Johnson: Sankey is the main reason the rivalry is toxic

David Johnson told Jake Wimberly this afternoon that it's Sankey's fault the rivalry is so toxic.

Why is that you ask?

Sankey didn't step up to the NCAA when Leo and Kobe got immunity to drop a dime on om recruiting tactics. It went to far when the NCAA used Leo and Kobe as witnesses against om.

You see? It's all Sankey's fault.

Well since he's normally playing pitch and catch with Neal, I guess he's slummin' it now.

I'm sure that'll go over like a turd in a punch bowl at their little meeting.

The level of narcicism at tsun is absolutely mind boggling. Nothing is ever their fault. It's not Hugh's fault he got caught with an escort. Stupid bitch shouldn't have answered her phone when he called her. They get pulled over for speeding it's the cop's fault for clocking them with radar.

Yeah, that's real smart, publically blaming the principle because you got in trouble when you are being sent to his office.

This is the company line Not A Fan spewed out about halftime of the Egg Bowl and the entire fan base has taken it and run with it. Its a coping mechanism.

Hahahahahahaha!!!! The SEC went to bat for them with the NCAA this time around to keep their penalties in check. If that is the Ole Miss narrative now good luck to them when the NCAA comes calling again (and they will). That athletic department will be nuked by the NCAA with no support from the SEC.

What I can't believe is that they would ever use that in a meeting with Sankey who I'm sure was very involved with their investigation and knows the truth.

And if I'm Cohen I'm pointing this out as to how they make the rivalry "toxic".

It may be that the smartest thing Cohen could do is just sit there and not say anything and let that macho man wanna be hang himself.

Cohen doesn’t have to argue at all. All he needs to do is be polite to the commish and let Bjork make a fool of himself.

What gets me is that OM keeps blaming Leo and Kobe. Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't there like 49 student athletes named in the COI's allegations? Yet, they keep focusing on 2. Just happens those 2 play for MSU. I may be way out of line, but when they focus all of their anger and blame on 2 of the 49, that to me is creating a toxic environment. Those 17'n bastards aren't going to stop creating a toxic environment until the NCAA buries their ass that will keep them from ever competing again. 17 those pricks. I'm pissed that we only beat them 35-3.

The instigator of a lot the Toxicity is Mr. Not a Fan himself. He is solely responsible for 95% of the bullshat that the fanbase at UNM is regurgitating. Mr. Not a Fan, spews vitriol, states BS and then leaks stuff just to get more reaction. He was the same way 20 years ago when he still worked in Mobile. He absolutely hates everything MSU, the day that our sanctions were handed out during Jackie's time he was livid on an afternoon radio show about how " the NCAA just let the biggest cheater in all of college football off scott free". You could tell even the other guys on the show were backing away form him. That guy is never going to stop.

Yeah the biggest joke is his insistence that he doesn't have a dog in the hunt as far as OM vs MSU.. It is painfully obvious that he's lying, but he has dug himself into this trench and won't get out of it.

Ventured back to the dark side. Below are posts made on the same thread. Their lack of self awareness is simply mind boggling. They manage to admit they cheated their asses off and at the same time firmly state none of this is their fault. All that was missing was a Leo reference.

Pffffst. Nice bullshit letter. Not once does he take responsibility for our situation and the bungling of the NCAA case. It's time to part ways with Ross Bjork. Just unacceptable.

To some degree, I don't completely blame Bjork on the NCAA mess. Some of it started before he got here, and I think Barney Farrar knew where the bodies were buried and they thought it was better to keep him close.

I am just at an unhealthy place as a fan. The ncaa wanted 5lbs of flesh for 1lb worth of issues and went to extraordinary lengths to get it. And the sec walked out of the house and went for a drive so they didn?t have to acknowledge their assault on our program.

Barney should have been released as soon as he was implicated. Freeze probably should have been let go after the 2015 season or rather made to resign with no buyout based on NCAA violations. But hard to do that with a fresh Sugar Bowl trophy in hand. Firing people is the kind of "exemplary cooperation" that helps. Bending over in every respect EXCEPT firing the people who did violations is ass-backwards.

Steve still would have busted Freeze out about escort calls, because Dogs are gonna Dog.

The quote I bolded is actually right.

Also, they don't seem to understand how easy they got off. The NCAA could have absolutely wrecked their program. As it is, they will be ok within 3-5 years with the right coach.

Also, damn that Steve for doing what other "journalists" refused to do.. just damn him!

Do people forget that nobody would know that Leo testified had his name not been leaked? Thats the crooked part about this thing.
