Awesome, Simmons has been everything we could have ever hope he’d be.....and it almost never happened because of a bad - split second decision.....

He has been a joy and is one hell of a player....some NFL team is about to get a great player and leader. As good as we will be next year, this guy is a HUGE loss for us, one we don’t yet realize or understand.

Considering most people have a hard time living up to their billing, Simmons is a monster on the ball field and from all accounts a great guy off the field. He now has even more responsibility from here on out to represent our State during his years in the NFL and years in our community. Man, we have some character ambassadors in the nfl right now. Slay, Dak, Cox, KJ, Denico, All the OLs, Eulls, Love, McKinney, Jordan, on and on. Not only have these young men went on to successful careers, they all have represented State well beyond just football.

Congrats to Simmons. God Speed young sir.

Well done young man. Way to right the ship, overcome mistakes, and become a man the proper way. That?s what we should be the most proud about. The way this young man grew up in our program and the person he is as he goes out into the world is what we are as a university and program.
