I think the average playoff committee member believe MSU is better than A&M. Our analytics are too strong when you start getting into defensive efficiency, yards per play, etc.

I don't see A&M jumping us, which will open up an interesting decision by the SEC office as to who to give the better bowl too.

That being said, our quest to make the Outback Bowl has become an absolute matrix type situation where hell would have to freeze over for us to ever make that bowl

The committee has jumped a team that lost to another team. They evaluate each week separately....who do they think are the best teams at this point in time

Did I say they will? No. I was clarifying that wins over Top 25 teams are evaluated each week and adjusted if that team rises or falls in their ranking. They won’t consider Auburn at Top 25 win

People often forget about the fact that the SEC schedule is unbalanced now. Some teams are going to draw Vanderbilt and South Carolina as their East opponent and on the East they may get Arkansas and Ole Miss as West opponents.

We beat A&M head to head and instead of playing NY6 team Florida they got probable 7-5 South Carolina. That has to be taken into account too.

That does make me feel better- at least until Tuesday. We still need LSU to stay in the top 11.
