I'm not saying that it possibly was not holding by the book, I'm saying that it would not have been called the other way, and many times it is not called at all. If it were not a TD run, I don't think it would have been called.

The refs negate any team from getting momentum vs Bama.

Later on when there are PIs or targeting by Bama that will be called "letting the teams play" SMFH.

It was totally predictable. I guess they're trying to get Bama another shutout.

This just doesn't get called against Bama or in any other game. Bama games have turned into a joke. An absolute travesty. Nothing will come of this because it was holding by the letter of the law, but this doesn't get called against any other team or in any other game.

How much trouble would Gus get into if he goes off on the sec refs after the game? He needs to. It’s become a joke.

RocketDawg
11-24-2018, 04:11 PM
Auburn needs to keep the ball on the ground. They can't catch the ball, but they probably can't score on the ground either because the refs will call holding or some other penalty.

He just got an unsportsman like conduct call for arguing the holding call. You know, because coaches never argue calls in the SEC.

That's sorta why I said verdict's still out. Still has to learn to make it thru more than 1 post snap progression tho. He hasn't had to do that all year except against us. Of course there was nothing there in that game anyway.

Nah. It should be Stoops if they win tonight IMO.

He's been the guy that has most overachieved.

I'm sure O will get some votes, but LSU is a top 5 recruiter. Them having a good year without winning anything shouldn't win him a coach of the year award.

I'll be damned. They missed a facemask against AU. You very rarely see refs miss calls in Bama's favor in tight ballgames. Mark this down on the calendar and we'll revisit it in 4 or 5 years when it happens again.

It's coming around. Maybe not just yet but ... there were plays to be made when we played them earlier. Fitz missed a few of those. And maybe Joe would realize we could run on them just like a much worse AU running team is today.

ETA: Our O can be better than AUs. Gotta run and play action pass tho. Use our roadgraders up front. They can whip Bama's D line and LBs.

11-24-2018, 05:13 PM
Why they let the clock run out, it infuriates me! Playing Bama especially, you need every possession you can get. That was a total wasted possession. They had plenty of time to run a couple of plays and possibly take the lead.
Pisses me off when coaches do that!

Agree. Until we get a quick decision maker at QB, we can't beat Bama. I do think we can play Bama like Auburn is today, but, like Auburn, we don't have enough fire power to win
