First, comparing common opponents between State & OM (basically the SECw):
Arky - State 52-6 / OM 37-33
aTm - State 28-13 / OM 24-38
Auby - State 23-9 / OM 16-31
Bama - State 0-24 / OM 7-62
LSU - State 3-19 / OM 16-45
W/L - State 3-2 / OM 1-4
TOT - State 106 - 73 / OM 100 - 209
AVG - State 21.2 - 14.6 / OM 20.0 - 41.8 (ouch, giving up 6 TD's and being outscored an average by 3 TD's)
Secondly, Vegas has seen the line move 4.5 points in favor of MSU over the last 3 days after opening at -8.5 (currently MSU -13). This close to game time (inside of 4 hours), not only has MOST of the money been coming in on the Dogs, but the "sharp's" money has been coming in on the Dogs as the line is only growing -- it's moved from 12.5 to 13 in just the last hour. The Vegas sharps know this game should not be close.
Third, our players have been inconspicuously absent from social media during this current game week. I'm thinking they've got a 100% focus on the game and will let their actions on the field do their talking for them. Coach Getsy mentioned yesterday about limiting YAC to their wideouts but also said that you can't give them a "soft" cushion b/c that plays into their hands. I'm thinking we're about to give Bama a run at who holds OM to their lowest point total of the season.
All that said, and given that the BearSharks can't stop anybody and the Dogs can, I'm gonna say the Dogs roll 45-10. And the cherry on top is...
...the OM women's basketball team gets to play mighty UCONN in some Caribbean holiday tournament later tonight, so I'll call that one 105-35 in favor of UCONN.
