He was just now chewing out the second string for turning it over and we're up by 58. One thing about Vic, he will bench you in a second if you turn it over or don't play defense and he doesn't care who it is. He would sit any of them. McCowan, William, Vivians.

Joe Moorhead talks in press conferences about competing against a standard, or playing against a standard. With the girls basketball team, that is what you have to do. They are so good, that they could play like absolute horse crap and win 24 games on talent alone. So when you are up 64-16 at the half against Coppin State on Sunday, or you are up 60-18 at the half against Furman today, Vic reminds them that they must play to his standard, not to the opponent's standard. So in these blowouts, Vic doesn't give a rat's ass about the scoreboard. He expects you to play quality ball or he gets pissed. He expects you to meet the standard. And the standard is very, very high. Very high. He ain't worried about Coppin State or Furman. He's worried about UConn, Notre Dame, Oregon, Louisville, Baylor, etc.

Vic is the man.

I'll just be glad when our WBB team plays another real team. I enjoy watching them but I've only lasted a quarter the last 2 games. When its a 40 point spread after one quarter its time to find something else to do.
