And before you chime in with 2018 State having a lot better talent than 2007 Bama, Bama's recruiting classes for 2004-2007 were each ranked better than ANY of Mullen's classes at State. 2007 Bama was Saban's THIRD P5 head coaching job and he had already won a NC at LSU, so his 'big time football' learning curve was already done, too.

Do not discount the difficulty of a first year head coaching job, 'loaded' roster or not.

Les miles went 10-2
Houston Nutt went 9-2 at ark
Malzahn went 11-1 and ended up playing for a natty

Not sure what any of these or yours means with us and joe

You're trying to hard bud. Jo wins the next two, and all is forgiven.

Joe is going to win the next 3, so long as he doesn't slumber for Ole Miss. We will finish 9-4 (4-4)

We underachieved this year with this roster no matter how you slice it. If we go 8-4 next year that's a different story. (Assuming UK, Bama and LSU don't hold us to their season lows again)

We basically won one we didn't expect, AU and lost 2 we thought we would win UK and UF. UF was kind of up in the air since we know Mullen is a good coach and UF has consistently top 15 talent.
