Do the networks control what times teams play? I notice that all our times this year are in the 6pm or so, and other years we had a lot of games at 11am. I'm hoping its in relevance to the interest of fans, as just about all the sharks games are at 11am.

I do know that CBS controls what games the air, but no idea about ESPN and Sec Network.

Yes. Of course. That's why the shitty games are played at 11 am and the better games in the evening.

The time has really screwed the Starkville restaurants this year though. 6 PM starts really destroy the after game dinner scene. I hope we get more 2:30 games at home next year.

It's gotta be better than having a lot of 11 am games with a couple of 6:30 games sprinkled in.

That is usually the UGA & Bama game times, and that won't change until we win the SECW.

11 a.m. games, depending on the game, almost dictates that a large portion of people will be in town Friday night. 11 a.m. games also end around 3, so people then go to eat etc in town. Like I said, 2:30/3:00 games are best for business in town.

Now from the fan point of view, 2:30 games are the best too. If you want to tailgate, you have time before and after. If you don't, you can come into town in the morning and make the game and probably get back home without having to have a room somewhere. 2:30 games end around dinner time, so you can hit up a little bit "Flavor" while you are here.

Night games have the best atmosphere though.

We had a lot of 1:30 games in the old days. Maybe those weren't on TV, or maybe that was a Jefferson Pilot thing.

LT lived for 1:30 games. Really you had three maybe 4 sec TV games. The JP game was at 11:30 then CBS had the 2:30 game ESPN the 6:30 and occasionally the Duce would have an 8 game.

It won't change even if we won the National Championship somehow.

I'm probably in the minority but 1:30 is a good time for a football game like Louisiana Tech to be honest.
