As we all know, Big T is clearly the best player in the SEC this year. But apparently, the AP voters don't believe she's one of the best 5 players in the country this season.

What do you expect, she barely averaged around 20 pts and 20 rebounds in the NCAA tournament?

What a bunch of horse crap! She definitely is one of the 5 best players in the country, no question!

Baylor girl is who I assume kicked her out of the first team. Let's compare stars from last year, Baylor first Sweet T 2nd:

PPG: 20.0 vs 18.2. BAYLOR wins by 9.8%

RPG: 10.5 vs 14.0. STATE 33.3%

FG%: 64.2 vs 60.1. BAYLOR by 4.1%

BPG: 1.5 vs 2.1. STATE by 40%

FT%: 76 vs 63.3. BAYLOR by 12.7%

APG: 1.7 vs .5. BAYLOR by 340%

Personal fouls per game: 2.4 vs 2.5. Basically a wash.

SO it looks like the Baylor girl is better with the ball and at the line, but T is a better defender and rebounder. Baylors higher FG% and FT% are the only 2 areas that she's clearly better at. It's very close to me.

That said, T has made huge strides in her FG and FT % from '16 to '17, so I expect her to be better again this year and finish the year first team

What were her season stats?

Really doesn't make sense.

If you were going to start a team, would you really pick a 5-8 guard that averages 20.8 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 2.8 apg, and 1.4 steals versus a 6-8 center that will give you 20+ points, 10+ rebounds, and a couple of blocks a game?

I could understand if you voted by position and it was an either/or between Kalani Brown and McCowan for the center spot. But they basically don't have a power forward, so I'm assuming that's not what they do.

T also was last year's Defensive Player of the Year in NCAA. You would think that would carry some weight also.

Well, maybe it will make that chip on her shoulder even more so, for her senior year and finish the season as a 1st team All American and get last laugh.

I see the Notre Dame assassin is back this year. We may need to go for her ankle early if we meet up with them in the Dance.

The AP voters love Baylor. Once we dropped a game to South Carolina in the SEC tournament, the AP voters put Baylor at number two. Even though Baylor's regular-season schedule was weak. Their are RPI was not good because of their weak schedule.

Big 'T' for comparison:

(18.2ppg, 13.9rpg, 60.1fg pct, .5apg, .8 steals per game, 2.1 blocks per game)

Head to head last year.

TOT-FG 3-PT REBOUNDS
## Player Name FG-FGA FG-FGA FT-FTA OF DE TOT PF TP A TO BLK S MIN
15 Teaira McCowan...... 3-7 0-0 4-5 0 5 5 4 10 0 1 1 2 29
21 Brown,Kalani........ 11-13 0-0 5-5 4 5 9 2 27 1 1 5 0 45

I'm guessing this is what most voters looked at and not the entire body of work.
