View Full Version : If we just lean on them with running backs, do we break them

In the third quarter. Asking in all seriousness. Seems like this would have worked with the way our defense played.

started gashing them they would've stacked the box and you know damn well we weren't going to hit a pass, so NO.

No. You can't consistently score in this conference with a one demensional offense.

I think if we run AU offense we run all over them.

Is this the least running back carries we have ever had against an LSU team? With one of our better duos in history.

Part of it is Fitz is selfish on the options.

You can to a degree. KY is certainly doing it but not even they are THIS one dimensional. Seriously, deep into the 4th quarter at LSU prior to our last drive we had 19 PASSING YARDS. Now THAT kind of one dimensional only works if you are running the triple option.

Yep, a number of time the read should have been to give to the RB but he keeps. Almost like he is trying to bolster his QB rushing record or something.

No. You have to have a credible pass threat to keep the defense honest.

Yep, in the 3rd quarter he was going to tuck and run but Kylin starting wavy his hands in frustration while running to the edge wide ass open. Nick saw him, hit him and Kylin got 8 yards. If Nick had thrown that ball 2 seconds earlier Kylin breaks one up the sideline for at least 20 yards.

Better chance than what we had. Its amazing to me our RBs have less carries than our QB. Idk if I have ever seen it before in my life

It’s not selfish, he can’t read a defense. Passing, running, RPO’ing...

Tv announcers said with about 5 mins left in the game that we attempted a pass for the first time on 1st down. That's awful. I want us to run 65/70% of the time, but I do think a bad passing team is more successful throwing on 1st down than any other down. How about some wr screens on 1st down?
