I actually agree. It’s a shit show. If Lemonis doesn’t pan out (FYI I WANT him to succeed) we need to look for a new AD as this will be multiple ****ed up coaching hires.

No it’s not. You don’t fumble the football coach hire and he did. That got Templeton canned. It should get Cohen canned. I’d give him a pass if had the balls to pull the plug on Moorhead and go all in with a legit head football coach hire. But if he doesn’t there needs to be a search for a new AD.

2) a young hc from a small school
3) a hot coordinator.

We won't hire a better coach on paper than Moorhead. You might hire a comparable one, but our options are a retread that will keep.us as an 8-4 program or hope for someone with upside.

You can't hire new coaches and keep firing them after 7 games each year.

10-2 was only possible this year with Mullen or an elite coach we would have never gotten. Fitz just isn't good enough. Mullen is a good enough QB coach to hide that.

Everyone seems to think playing football in the sec should be easy

You’re right. We should settle for 6-6 this year and missing a bowl game for the first time in 9 years next year. Let’s be very clear...with Moorhead as coach next year we won’t sniff 6 wins.

This. Our administration will be dumbasses because they think MSU can’t fire a head coach that underperforms in one year (you know we can’t have that type of standard at poor ol MSU). Next year will be a 4 or 5 win team. We will finally fire him after that and the new coach will have to start building from ground up. Seems like a solid plan for mediocrity!
