Vs Kentucky: 28 rush/32 pass
Vs Florida: 32 rush/26 pass
Vs auburn: 57 rush/17 pass

Auburn is by far the best rush defense in the group, and we pounded them for 349 rushing yards. It works, joe... please don't get cute going forward

CJM said we are around 60% run calls on 1st and 2nd down for the year, but some of those have been RPO'd to a throw during the play.

Call a run. Run a run

He needs to take away the pass option then. Run downhill with it for Christ's sake

Stay ahead of the sticks and you can run this much. We had almost zero penalties all game. The RB motion was 17ing up Auburn and made both Hill & Fitz much more effective.

If we run it 57 times against OM they will quit

Some of those passes against KY and Fl were actually run calls. Fitz had the option to check off at the line of scrimmage. JoeMo said in this past week's presser that he was going to make sure when a run call to our running back was made, that it was going to stay that way and not end up being a pass or a quarterback run.

I agree. If we run the offense we did last night against them, they may walk away at halftime.

the better stat & default to what you're saying is Kylin had 4 carries vs UK, 9 vs UF, 23 vs Aub. it's not so much that Fitz needs to "read" the give to Kylin as much as he should just "give" the ball to Kylin as more than most, Kylin will always produce positively. It's not hard, just give it to him. There were 4-6 of those jet sweeps last night that Fitz kept up the middle that if given to Kylin he probbly scores. Especially on the 9 men in the box 4th & 1 where Fitz kept and lost.

I know it's not a readily available stat, but a lot of those "rushes" vs. UK and UF were actually passes where Fitz either scrambled or got sacked. So the disparity is even greater for those games.

It's also up to the coaching staff to identify the weakest points of the opponent's defense to know how to implement the rushing attack. You have to have more than just a RTDB plan. I'd also be willing to bet we left a hell of a lot more tics on the play clock prior to snaps vs AU than UK and UF. Fitz needs to have less uncertainty as he approaches the LOS, all 11 on the same page, and keep the D guessing while pounding what the D is giving.
