I believe his theory is that balance is a 20-20-20-20-20 split between the RB and the 4 WRs, with no preference to whether the yards are rushing or receiving yards.

It's logically sound.

I know he is an odd ball but does anyone think his offense would work in the SEC? How close is it to Hal Mumme's since he is off that coaching tree?

Teams should attempt to be able to both run & pass at equal levels.

However, they should call play based on what they do best &/or to better setup what they do best

I would love to see Leach's offense with a legit running back.

His passing game + a physical bruiser would be something. At Texas Tech & Wazzou he really hasn't had the chance to have that.

I think Leach is awesome because he goes against the grain with his anti-coach speak and some of the goofy stuff. However, There's a reason he's never really seriously chased an SEC job and its because he knows his offense wouldn't fly here.

Texas Tech's all time winning percentage is 55% but Leach won 66% of his games there.

Wazzou's all time winning percentage is 48% & Leach has 51% winning there.

You may think he's goofy, but at both places he has been, he has won above their historical normal

That is kind of what I thought since Mumme did ok at UK but didn't set the SEC on fire.

No he's an idiot. He's been in two conferences that play absolutely no defense. He was runoff from TT for his crazy crap.

Yeah Leach will stay away from the SEC like the plague. His offense is built for big12, pac12 types, although he still has very little success against the better defenses in those leagues.

I think a little of both but Sumlin tried running a similar type offense with top 10 talent and couldn't sniff a championship.

Yea cause Johnson hates the D coordinator for Louisville and has been waiting a decade to run all over him. I love Mike Leach. He scores and he wins. WSU bout to be 5-1 after today.
