Does it matter if the O-Line is so soft?

Actually it does and our ol is only soft in this pass block first offense. We actually averages 6 yards a carry with our rbs the past two games.

That's really a false number. Aeries had 30 yards on 3 carries yes. But most of that came on the draw play right before the half. That skews the numbers. Our offense sucks period.

You are just wrong! He had 3 carries for 31 yards, 17 on that one run. Thus he had 14 on the other 2 which gives a avg of 7 yards a carry.

Really Clark?

So if you eliminate that one run, our RB’s still avg 4.8 yards per carry last night

Meanwhile Fitz had 20 rushing attempts for 32 yards. 1.8 yards per carry. 1.5 ypc over the last 2 games (36 rushes for 50 yards). Clearly he's reading the defense when out of the RPO he chooses run and gets 1 yard and when he chooses pass (47%) it's either incomplete and/or completed for 3.8 yards on average.

You realize sacks count as rushes right?

You do realize that sacks counted as rushes last year, too? Right? Because, Fitz averaged 5.46 ypc vs SEC opponents in 2017.

In the interest of fairness:

Vs Kentucky- Final Stat Line: 16 rushes for 20 yards. If I subtract the 3 sacks for 23 yards lost, Fitz had 13 rushes for 43 yards and a 3.3 ypc average.

Vs Florida- Final Stat Line: 20 rushes for 32 yards. If I subtract the 6 sacks for 39 yards lost, Fitz had 14 rushes for 71 yards and a 5.0 ypc average.

Although, I will say this is misleading because not all of the "sacks" were intended to be passes. They are "sacks" in the box score because the QB got tackled behind the LOS.

The bottom line is last year vs the SEC Fitz averaged 5.46 yards per carry (Alabama, UGA and AU included), sacks and all. This year so far he averages 1.5 ypc.

No it’s a tackle for loss if it was a designed QB/Option run, not a sack

I was curious so I just reviewed video of the sacks and the play by play to see what was called a sack. If I'm being honest, on some of them he bailed so fast, given we're RPO, I couldn't tell whether it was designed or not.

Last night, I specifically remember watching him have a clean pocket and seeing a DE (blocked) from his peripheral vision. As soon as he saw the DE, he bailed. The OT released the DE when he started running ( so he wouldn't get flagged for holding), got to the LOS, waffled, and then got tackled from behind by the same DE.
I'm not trying to nitpick. I just personally saw it unravel live and made a mental note. I'm sure I can find the clip if you're interested.
