I think you are thinking of LSU. They're stuck with Coach O. But they're OK with that at the moment at least. I suspect that they will ultimately have a good season and win 8-9 games which I think their fans are OK with. I'm not sure that winning 8-9 is good enough over 6-8 years though.

Croom sucked as a wins and losses coach. He DID totally change the culture that had unfortunately taken over here. Mullen didn't have to deal with that. He just had to coach football when he took over here. The social worker crap he didn't have to do. Don't underestimate how hard that crap is to change. Thanks Sly.

I absolutely 100% agree. He could very well end up taking a big step back and have to go to Ohio State with Urban for a year or two to get his feet back on the ground. His arrogance just got the best of him and he obviously looked down on us. I think we made it kind of a quandry for him because we were paying him so much there weren't very many places that could afford him.

It would be nice if they both did. It would be two straight here. If Dan did well he would be the first ex here to do so since Darryl Royal or Murray Warmuth, which ever one left last. Thanks. MSU Class of 77. Dad carried me to my 1st game in 63. He was a Superdawg and helped form the Bulldog Club with a lot of Old Timers that are still around. Blessed with a 34 year old daughter ( a rebel, but that's another story) and a hardcore 17 year old Bulldog son who is just like me and we make every home game with 6 other family members. 81 year Mom is all dawg, but watches at home now. You obviously DIDN'T raise your daughter right. ;) I have one son, he will graduate from MSU this spring, one year late due to co-ops (WELL, and then some, worth it). He will be a third generation graduate from MSU as my late Dad did as well. I miss Dad during football season......and perhaps more during basketball season. He didn't go to many football games, I went to a few, but not that many really. I go to more now. We would always be calling back and forth during them though. He was an old coach so he always had a very good take on football, and an even better one for basketball (he coached both). We were season ticket holders together for over twenty years for basketball. That started in the fall of 1989. We saw a LOT of great basketball at the Hump. I miss it all with him. He would have loved today.
