It's really absurd & the main reason we need an 8 team playoff. Clemson & Oklahoma have byes to the playoff & that isn't right.

Everyone complains about SEC bias, but the teams that aren't being treated fairly this year are SEC West teams. If MSU had Oklahoma or Clemson's schedule, we are in the playoff.

Instead, we'll probably go 10-2 & finish 12th in the rankings with a nice Citrus Bowl or something. This is the most unbalanced year I've seen

Every completion is because a defender screwed up, not because the WR/scheme get the best of them. They just don't know their assignments. Very unimpressed with Clemson so far

The Aggies looked legit, but agree that this is typical of them to start strong and then fizzle out and that's what I anticipate will happen this year. I'm not ready to buy off on the west becoming an Aggie Bama battle for the top every year though. There is a culture issue with the Texas schools and I'm not sure what it is but it's real (too much talent and resources to not be dominant). We'll see how Jimbo does over the long haul but my guess is not great. He'll have a great year or two but won't be able to sustain it.

All of what you say is correct but it's a school that's never done it before and, if you ever spent time there, would realize there is a real and significant cultural issue that will be difficult for them to overcome.

As far as playing with a playoff contender, they've done that on a number of occasions.

I don't think you understand the culture issues at A&M and Texas football in general.
