As I remember it, Higgins used to be pro-State at the Commercial Appeal when very few were anywhere, and his son was even a walk-on at State. Then something happened and Higgins became anti-State. (His son was cut?)

Yeah, think that is correct. I am a younger guy so didn't know him in the pro MSU days but he definitely hasn't been for the Dawgs lately.

What in the world do all of you have with Ron Higgins? He seems to be a pretty good sports editor. I haven't seen a lot of bias in his work.

Ron Higgins.....LSU grad......longtime Memphis Commercial Appeal Sports Columnist and I think Sports Editor too. Generally writes decent articles and about a 50/50 favorable/unfavorable lean to MSU. He's experienced in the SEC if nothing else.....could have been worse for us. His son did play a line position for us, but didn't pan out much like Duncan McKenzie's son....."Drago" McKenzie.
