I see mentions of Gordon coming and Jack Lamberts post, but when you look it up, it seems like a very real situation going on there. Is the game in danger of being cancelled or moved? It seems worse to me than anyone has mentioned so far... And if there are more rains coming, it will be a complete mess on game day. Does anybody have any more information?

Yeah, everyone needs to flip the script. They need to come here and play. That looks like a terrible situation upcoming.

The Manhattan campus of Kansas State University was not affected by the flooding.

The money quote from the first article.

Nothing to worry about.

I saw that, but was confused... How could the city seemingly be under water but the campus magically untouched... either way, I figured the city's infrastructure would be in major jeopardy in time for the game if it is really as bad as the article made it sound.

The area that flooded was on the lower side of Manhattan, the field and campus sit up higher on the north side of town. All should be good!

According to their fans on their message boards, the stadium and the roads leading to it are not in the flood plain.

Yeah, in 2007-08 when the Big Red One came back to Fort Riley, they needed housing so they started slapping up apartments and houses. Very unfortunate especially during a flood.

On the way back from the CWS, we traveled to Lincoln, NE and then down to Manhattan, KS just to sight see those 2 schools. Manhattan sits in kind of a punchbowl basin. Hills surrounding it everywhere and a couple rivers merge downtown to form an even bigger river. They have a really bad history of flooding.....I mean really bad. With all the rain they've already had and the tropical storm about to dump even more.....there's going to be a lot of stuff under water this weekend. Stay safe Bulldog travelers!!

Grandpa... what tropical storm. Gordon won't be within 300 miles of the game.

Tropical storms extend out 500 miles all the time little pu$$y. Rain bands can reach anywhere in that vicinity. Better get you an umbrella or a floaty with a little rubber ducky to play with to keep you occupied.

Ok Old man... You have no damn idea what you are talking about. First off there is no tropical storm anymore. It's now a depression and falling apart. the Center of circulation is around greenwood while all the rain shield has for the most part stripped away to west bama for today. It will continue to move into Arkansas it looks like and kinda stall out.. but not over Manhattan or anywhere near enough to effect the game.

You missed your calling little puss...…should have been a weather man for WCBI the rest of your life.
