I still don?t understand how you blame an OL when they send 8 and we only have 5 to block. Should our OL block two guys at a time or something? They had 7-8 in the box when KT was struggling.

KT fumbled about 17 times in the EB as a true freshman then almost brought us back for a win. Then beat Louisville. May be a little early to look too much at Mayden fumbling and bad hand off

Making a few mistakes, but he runs a lot like Dak. Same size and looks to have a nice smooth throwing motion. Play him as much as we can the next 3 games and then try to redshirt him unless Fitz or Key get knocked out permanently. We seem to have some nice depth at QB all the way through Schraeder when he arrives. We do need a couple more RB signees or maybe get a good JUCO transfer like the LandSharks did.....btw....how did they get the #1 JUCO RB recruit anyway?.....he had like over 200 yds. today against TTech.

I think some of the secondary issues could be picking up new scheme. I expect us to look a little better next week defensively. I also expect the offense to look better but score a lot less.

You know what concerns me? A safety calling a time out because the defense is lined up wrong

During that lull period I saw them bring 6-8 players with us blocking five. You aren?t going to get that much time when the other team sends 6-8 players. This offense is completely predicated on the QB making the right reads. If KT just takes off several times, they stop sending 6-8 players. If he just sits back like a pro style QB, they stayed in that defense. That was more on the QB then the OL. How many times would Fitz had taken it to the house had he seen that grouping? My guess would have been a lot. They wouldn?t have done that to Fitz and you guys wouldn?t be bitching about it. Our backup got 3 quarters of the game to work and still accounted for 7 TDs. I think you really are nitpicking with this.

That shows me that the S, whoever it was knew something was wrong and called a TO to fix it. Thats why you have TO's. Thats typical first game stuff. It will get fixed and be ok

I think the main thing sticking out in peoples minds was the 2 drives to start the half by KT when Moorhead was pretty obviously forcing the issue to throw the shit out of it and KT missed on some throws. Moorhead knows we are going to make our money running the football, the passing game is where we will have to be good enough to make people respect it.

If you asked me right now I think we showed our WRs are better, our TE's are a factor and Guidry has a chance to be pretty damn good. Fitz is a better passer than KT and anyone who thought otherwise can banish that argument to the shadowrealm for good. KT is a good player and could run our offense, he was running about half of it tonight with Moorhead telling him dont run in the 2nd half for the most part. You always see a lot of improvement from week 1 to week 2. We will be fine. This team is loaded. C34 was right about Kylin Hill. He is going to make a case for best RB in the league this year, our OL is good, had some mistakes but it was mostly when they brought more than we could block while Moorhead was forcing the dropbacks. We couldve ran the ball and probably had more yards than we ended up getting. Our DL is as advertised and Brian Cole, Jon Abram, McLaurin, Dantzler and Tyler Williams all looked pretty smooth. Peters looks good one snap then like he is uncomfortable the next. The LB crew looked good, I noticed LL flying around pretty good and Willie Gay might be the best of the bunch by seasons end. Thompson is consistently going to make tackles and he is a chinstrap breaker when he gets a good shot at them.

Sorry for length just my thoughts. We should beat KSU like they stole something.

My biggest takeaway...? We are much better coached and we now play the guys that should play even if they aren't the guys that have been here the longest. We looked like a really good team is supposed to look in beating down a game 1 opponent. No rooti poot bullshit just get after their ass and end it in the first 2 minutes so we can work on stuff. No ****ing wearing shorts and half assing thru 4 quarters.

Some of y'all need some damned perspective. Yes, KT has struggled at times. Yes, CBs have had some shaky moments (mostly Peters). We're still on the verge dropping 60 on SFA. This is one of those games where every mistake seems magnified because you expect everyone to look like Superman on every play. That isn't reality. Getting Fitz back will help. I still really like Dantzler and we should have 2-4 picks. We're going to be just fine. Everyone relax and enjoy the beatdown. Unless you'd rather watch us lose to f'ing Maine aGAIN.

We did exactly what we needed to do tonight: Win big, stay vanilla, stay healthy. End of story.
