Outside of them performing at the DNC, I don't think you can remotely call the Foos a "political" band. And who is "their"? The whole band? Dave?

I've seen them in concert 5 times and Dave has never once mentioned politics, religion, or anything remotely controversial....every time it's been "lets play some ****ing rock'n'roll". Also every award acceptance speech I've ever seen them give has been all about the music and inspiring others to do the same.

Literally the only thing that could remotely be considered "shade" [which it wasn't] I've heard Dave say was when we saw them in Memphis in 2009. He started the concert by saying (paraphrasing, but pretty close): "ya know, the last time we were here, LIVE opened for us....and I got to hear 20,000 people sing in unison 'and the placenta falls to the floor'....[Dave chuckles]....sorry, but there ain't gonna be no ****ing placenta here tonight, ladies and gentlemen".
