Sucks! While in Cincinnati this week I got rooked into eating Skyline Chili with customers last night. Had the 5 way (speghetti noodles, chili, beans, onions, and cheese). There is no spice or flavor. The meat is ground to a fine pulp and watery for the chili. They can keep it above the Mason Dixon line. I?ll take Southern chili or Texas chili any time. Hormell can chili is better than this crap.

It won't even make a turd. Not a solid one anyway.

If you go into it expecting Southern chili, you'll be highly disappointed - it's not close to how we think chili should be. The chili up north (Skyline, Gold Star, Price Hill) is more like a sauce.

You can't go in to Skyline and expect just chili to fill you up by itself. If you are in agreement that you're expectations will be to not compare the north and south's definitions of chili, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I'm personally not a huge fan of the way they put it on noodles and serve it, however, the Skyline Cheese Coneys are awesome because they pack that thing down with shredded cheese.

I used to date a girl from Cincinnati so every time I would venture past Florence, KY (the gateway to the South,) I would be sure to have at least one meal consisting of Skyline.
