Not to be a smartass but a magic eightball would be as accurate as a winter forecast now. Hell, I'm sitting here shocked I'm looking at tornado warnings in MS in late August not associated with a tropical system.

But you do have a magic eyeball-you post some informative and accurate stuff. Please let us know when you make a winter prognostication.

Initial indications are for El Ni?o to set in. If that happens look for a warmer and wetter than average winter for the southeast. What I haven't seen is how pronounced an El Ni?o is expected.

Speaking of tropical systems, what we looking like coming down the home stretch for hurricane season?

I could tell you how to get more for yourself but it's a highly classified matter.

Or you could just Pray and hope.

This. Peak season is 9/10, but looking like a slow season.

It only takes one, I do storm restoration work, I've seen this before and then boom here comes a hurricane. Just because it's slow doesn't mean things can't change in the next 45 days. Stay prepared as the peak season has just started.
Thanks to you weather guys, I do follow what you say as I get a weather report from a paid site our company pays (for information) as do many power companies across the USA.

Just saying

I wondered what the ol’ Farmers Almanac had to say about this - just released.

Any chance we'll get a wall built soon enough to stop el nino from invading?

"The hype surrounding an El Ni?o winter continues to grow.

The forecast released in early August 2018 from the United States' Climate Prediction Center's (CPC) shows a 70% chance of El Ni?o conditions during the 2018-2019 winter season."

And historically El Ni?o winters take a big massive steaming dump on the spring severe weather season. Potentially another spring of chasing puffy white clouds.
