The thing that stood out to me in this article is that Fitz addressed that we need to find a way to win the big games. I haven't heard that in ten years- and whether we actually do it or not next year I'm glad that we're finally addressing the elephant in the room. That's much more refreshing to hear to me than "relentless strain" and "chicks dig the check down". In the recent past anyone that dared talk about winning the big games was deemed a Dan heretic that "if you aren't happy with 8 wins you're never going to be happy".

I've been ready to go from good to great since 2015. I hope our guys do it.

I’m with you. I’m over being good in football and ready to take the next stop. And maybe it will never happen in my lifetime, but I’m glad someone is at least trying.

Prediction? Pain.

I found this little tidbit interesting:

"Anytime you have an entire staff gutted and replaced there's going to be this huge change," Fitzgerald said. "I feel we probably have a stronger staff now than we had before. They're very talented guys, and very positive, which is a little different. There's a little less yelling and screaming now and a little more talking, and making sure we understand it. We've had these guys teaching us all through the spring, then expanded that into summer, and we're going to fall camp. They've done a great job of that. The players have really reconnected to their position coaches, and that's made the jump easier."

Things may get a little nuts on Sept. 29.

And of course I can't say "get nuts" without this, because, you know, how can you not:

A few not so subtle shots there against the previous staff.
