I say its never going to happen. Legislature will not vote on it. Bible people will not vote for it if it was up to a referendum. I say we keep on wasting money trying to fight it. Why not. Its not like we don't waste money day in and day out on other stupid shit.

Too late to take advantage of a first mover adoption in the Southeast. Typical Mississippi.

I don't think it matters unless we could grow it in the Delta or something. I think I posted this on this board or the other, and someone told me that it needs to be grown indoors, so the Delta soil don't matter, essentially...

Production is where the real money is, not retail

Actually, it can be grown here. I've never done it but a few years ago down on my farm (really hunting land), right before turkey season, we had pictures of a guy walking through our place at like 3:30 AM. Every two or three days we would get a pic of a guy. Guy was wearing jeans, and a hoodie and carries no flashlight (i.e. clearly not a hunter). I called the local game warden and he asked me a Few questions 1. Was there a creek running through the place and 2. Was there a generous portion of sandy soil near the creek? (There was a third question but I can't remember what it was)The answer to all was yes. He told me there was more than likely a marijuana stash being grown somewhere on the place and that it was becoming common in the area. I sent him the pics, told him how he could access the property without going through the gate and I don't know what happened after that but I never got another pic of the guy in the hoodie.

If you want to know what a “bible person” really thinks about the matter feel free to shoot me a PM. Don’t be so sure of where ppl stand on this issue.

Well Bible people may not be the correct term, but I doubt 1st Baptist would be loading up to vote for legalization. I mean other than myself. I figure liquor is legal, cigarettes are legal, why not weed.

Big pharma will fight this a lot harder than Baptists.

This is the correct answer. There is probably a lot of designer drugs that Big pharma charges $1,000s of dollars for where marijuana would probably replace. Too many people could just grow their own. It is also a lot better for people where a lot of drugs have really bad side affects.

God created it for a reason, I don't know why religious people would be against it but I am sure most of them are. Oddly enough none of them picket or are against all you can eat buffets. Gluttony is one of the worst problems going on in MS.

Grow your own laws will be only way to keep it out of Big Pharma hands and keep it from becoming "Big Pot". If you can grow tomatoes, you can grow pot. Let me have 4 plants growing at any time, and I'll be happy and relaxed year round for next to nothing.

Probably will occur once we get full blown socialism/communism installed as our governmental system. About 10 years from now....roughly. I guessing total open borders, any drug goes, elimination of ICE/CBP, free healthcare, free college tuition, total gun control and confiscation, etc, etc.

Sorry Pit Bull, But my Trump voting, 2nd amendment supporting, Obama care hating ass gonna hafta go full blown commie on you here sir, with all due respect. I hope my 14 yr old son stays away from weed but I sure as hell hope I don't get a 17ing call from the cops one night cuz he's in jail for a 17ing joint. folks here in N.Texas dropping like flies due to Mexican Black Tar Heroin. So yea, shut the 17ing border down for many reasons, but let's prioritize and not make criminals outta such a high % of the nation's population for weed is my take.

Prior to whatever sneaky lobbyist/legislator gettting sports gambling made legal, i would have though another 20 years or so. Now, I wouldn't be surporsied if medical mary jane is legaized in the 'Sip in the next 3-5 years. I haven't heard one complaint from the baptists and gray heads about the evils of sports gaming.
