If Small and Mac come back, we'll be back in Omaha next year. Freshmen will have another year under their belt, Mangum will be the best senior in college baseball, and we'll have a true ace in Small. Losing Pilk kinda hurts, but he hasn't been the Pilk we're used to seeing. The new coach, whoever he is, needs to talk Cole Gordon into staying. He's got Sunday starter written all over him. We also get some of our TJ pitchers back. We'll be back.

And no one was on first and when he did get it he still had a chance to throw the guy out.

They got more sticks than us. I dont think the barvers pitcher has as small a strike window as Small does. A comeback would have to be legendary against everythin working against us

That's what concerns me with our team next year. Yes, we should be a good offense but outside of Small and Self what pitchers will we have that have proven anything? We will lose pretty much every other pitcher that has been a contributor this year.

Madrigal has over a .200 point advantage in ops. He's just as good or better defensively. Madrigal is clearly the superior player

offense that's better, it's their pitching too. They have much better arms than we do. They march out a frosh. that's not one of their regular guys and he's got super stuff. We haven't hit not one ball hard on him other than the foul ball Mac hit in the 2nd.
