The Oregon State starter tonight: Freshman right-hander Kevin Abel, who has a 5-1 record, a 3.50 ERA and has fanned 90 batters in 64.1 innings with 41 walks. Opponents batting .199 against him.

They're gonna put up runs, even against Small. I think about 6 is a number I'd be comfortable with. Jump on this guy early and set the tone
