Bad ending to a poorly handled situation by them. He will get his chance through free agency but there can't be anyone in their camp sitting there right now happy with how things turned out.

Good.

Arrogance and entitlement gets you every time.

This is by no means a surprise to any State fan who watched this situation play out.

He ended up signing a two way contract with the Lakers.

Two way contracts allow players to be on the NBA roster for a small amount of time while spending the rest of their time in the G league.

Oh wow and he had two years of eligibility left. Ouch. Must suck to have an entire family, handlers, agents and entourage all trying to suck all the money out of you before you can even make a dime. Not like we didn't try to help or tell him a thousand times though. Life sucks if you don't surround yourself with good people. Sorry Newman. Kegler next up.

Wow stupid advice from his handlers, stupid decisions.

Can he still come back and play for Kansas?

He knew this was a possibility. He was ready to start his pro career.

Dude has an entourage to feed, he has to start earning a paycheck. I feel bad for him. It seems like a lot of people hitched their wagon to him early and he now has a lot of hands in his wallet.

No. Once you declare for the draft you have a certain amount of time to withdraw and go back to school before you lose eligibility. Obviously he did not withdraw

I know one person/family that hates the 1 year after high school rule for nba. He would've been a millionaire without that rule. Saved some nba franchise a ton of wasted money

So sad man. Guy coudve been a Frank Mason type player at Kansas. He was just starting to hit his stride. Bonehead decision.

Well I'm sure he has been told probably for the 7th grade on that he was a lock for NBA.

He signed a two way contract with the Lakers. He was out tonight with a foot injury. Same ol Newman.

Can you imagine the nonsense the Lakers have to deal with now?:

1) Lebron and his micromanaging of the roster or all things related to the organization
2) Lavar Ball and his nonsense
3) Horatio Webster and his meddling of Malik

How many more distractions can one club put up with, even if they are a professional league team?

Laker's have always been a team of Prima Donnas.

Supposedly the Lakers passed on signing Boogie Cousins too before the Warriors signed him.

Why? Boogie signed really cheap. If he does recover well, Lakers will regret that

Yea especially since he's with the Warriors now. If I had to guess I'd say LeBron gave them the thumbs down on Boogie. Boogie can be cancerous or at a minimum he has that stigma attached to him based on how he acts on the court.
