Yes to potassium poisoning. It's called hyperkalemia.

Hyperkalemia is not poisoning perse, but can cause advers cardiac dysrhythmias. Too much potassium in the blood affects the sodium-potassium pump which leads to severe polarization problems. Your bound to make yourself vomit from eating too many bananas way before you would see an overdose of potassium.

Some diuretics contain potassium to replace that lost from the diuretic doing its job. That's not necessarily a good thing for your kidneys.
