I can get wanting to get started with his professional life, but next year could be pretty incredible for him. Not sure what his financial situation is, but if he wouldn't have to go into debt to stay another year, I would tell him that another year of college isn't going to mean anything in the long term and he's nto going to regret having another year of baseball, especially if he has really turned a corner.

Especially since he's put in his time doing whatever the team needed and struggled through a lot of it. He needs to enjoy a year of being settled into a position.

I guess it depends on what is happening on the other side of the bracket, but whether it's OSU or UNC, they will presumably have their #1 available on Friday. If they beat us on Friday, they would presumably be looking at their #4 pitcher on Saturday, so if it comes to it, we could go with Small in an elimination game against their #4. But if you're going to pitch Small in an elimination game in the event you lose Friday, I think I'd just go ahead and pitch him Friday and give us the best chance of winning.

If you're not willing to throw Small on 4 days rest b/c he is coming off injury or b/c you just think he'll be too fatigued, then yes, roll the dice on Friday, and if you have to use Small on Saturday, you're no worse off then if you'd pitched him on Friday (except that of course you will now need Billingsly or France to pitch on short rest in the championship if you make it).

Some of his ratings say he degrades and humiliates his students. When I was in school, that seemed to be standard practice. It's not so much any more ... professors actually seem to be there to teach and help now, rather than downgrade. That's much better.

You might have to go through the validation process again. I don't know how often they require that, but I'd not used Roku for ESPN3 for several months, so I had to redo everything when I wanted to use it again. Yep. It was either "You can't assume your boss knows this information so you should have included it in your memo. For that, you get a C." or "You should have assumed your boss knew that so you just provided extra information that he wasted his time reading and it may distract him so, you get a C." Those were basically the only two outcomes you faced with every paper/memo you wrote. It was 100% a weed-out class.
