Polk should not have wasted Tracy Jobes on Nicholls State, that doomed us. We had to use the back end of the staff on the survival path of that disastrous regional.

2007 they beat us in Omaha after we had gotten up 4-0

I was there the whole week and went to every game of the regional. Bobby Reed pitched a gem against unc to get us to the the last game against them and then we ran out of pitching. I had already made plans to go to Omaha. Huge disappointment! Polk wasted Jobes against Nicholls St and that hurt!

84 BJ Surhoff was on that team. 6 team regional. the one we gagged to UNO.

BJ Surhoff broke his leg in that regional. I drove him to the Hospital in Columbus during the game. Wally Whitehurst kicked our A$$. Eddie Stanky had our number too..
