Rice got their guy apparently. Bragga, the head coach at Tennessee Tech, accepted the job today according to Kendall Rogers.

He's been very average before this year.

False? He's consistently had one of the top teams in the OVC. Not a lot of Regional appearances because that's a 1-bid league

Hes 441-380 (counting this years 52-10). That's a pretty good sample size. I stand by my comment. Maybe he takes off, who knows? Good for him if so. The history doesn't suggest that is likely.

The thing I find funny is in the last couple yrs, he beat Tennessee once, Vandy twice, Florida State once, and Ole Piss 3 times. The fella has some big wins over big opponents at a smaller school that could give 2 shits about baseball...

Does Rice care anymore about baseball than Tenn Tech does?

They have Top 15-20 attendance nationally most years. They were one of the best programs in the country for most of the 2000s. They have slipped a bit the last few years as Wayne Graham got older (they let the guy coach until he was 82!), but it?s still a really strong program historically. This year was the first time they missed a Regional since 1994.

Good hire for Rice. He should make it tougher for USM in a couple of years.

Or open your mouth and confirm that you're a total douche.

Do you have a miserable life or something? You always seem to be on the rag about something. Maybe a little time on the couch would help.

Then why don't you be quiet?

Rice won the national championship in 2003. They've been to Omaha 7 times all in the last twenty years. They have been a top 20 baseball program for two decades. Before that though they were total dogshit.

And Mike Martin of FSU must be in his seventies. I assume he's coming back one more year to win some records. I had previously thought this was his last year.

OK, but do they care more about baseball than Tenn Tech? **

Didn't the announcers keep saying this was his last year?

High risk, high reward type hire. Could be really good or really bad. I like his personality. He’s had some good years of late.
