Hard to tell right now. We definitely have some of the best fans in baseball. But Arkansas will be there, so will Oregon State. Other dedicated fanbases who would travel to Omaha.

The girl I talked to at the Prime Sport ticket office said they are getting the most calls from MSU, Texas Tech, and North Carolina fans (not necessarily in that order).

Oregon State?

Doubt much more than parents and girlfriends come

The record crowd to watch the college world series was set in 2013 with 24392 and Miss State was one of the teams playing. The other was UCLA and I doubt they have more then a 1000 at the game.

We'll have a sizable number initially...and that number will go through the roof if we make it through our half of the bracket.

I feel Oregon State has a pretty dedicated fan base. Park isn't big--but I feel like they support their team.

I wish one of those fans would have yelled at the players to stop hitting the high fastball.**

LSU/TCU 2015 broke that record I believe.

That was total attendee record. The 2013 is the single game record.

I am assuming this is accurate. also I think the attendance for our game in 2013 was over 27K

Think you are right. I was at the 2013 Finals and there was no seats to be found. And my sister who got to sit in the lower section said the same about UCLA.....they had about 1000 fans mostly in one section. She said their cheering was very orchestrated, rehearsed, and traditional. She said the MSU fans who dominated the outfield seats and upper levels were much louder and crazier!.....said it sounded like a home game at the Dude. I sat in the 3rd level sections and agree that the outfield bleachers were totally Maroon. In fact the 300 section I sat in was all maroon. I bet we had close to 10K there for each of those 2 games. Now, this coming Sat. may not be that Maroon since it is the beginning games, but if we make it to the Finals, you can bet it will be like 2013 or even more. And I do remember the crowd at the Finals in 2013 being announced at over 27,000. so yeah, I believe MSU holds the single game record at the CWS. As far as other schools, I would expect Arkansas and Miss. State would have the most fans. Heck, you'll see a bunch of LSU fans there watching. A bunch of them buy seats every year whether they make it or not.

I went and looked at both years. The highest attended game for LSU and Florida had 26607 and the highest for MSU and UCLA was 27121.

Reading that article, 2013 also set the record for highest average number of fans at each game. Last year's CWS just had more games.

Jack, I’m having fun with what national media was saying on our ‘13 run. Basically Mississippi people couldn’t afford making that kind of trip and we’re having to take out 2nd mortgages.

I knew that. I just took a chance to rag on Bama. Over there you see 20 year old single wide mobile homes with Saban Mercedes parked in the front by the half buried painted white wore out tires.
