Just spitballing. Wondering.

14 years at UCLA. 3 CWS. 1 title. 10 regionals

I want him just so we can say someone rather live in Starkville than LA. And hell with the cost of living difference our money would go a long way.

We have a way in through Howland to talk to him. We got a football coach from Penn State and a basketball coach from UCLA, why not do it again?

That would be a pretty meh hire. He had a very good 4 year run, then back to meh.

We aren't going to hire a west coast guy. LA sucks, I agree. But the areas around it do not and Cali isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. And again, outside of the southeast, sports is secondary to education etc. They just don't care about fancy digs and fan support. They just coach and play and go home.
