If Vandy were to win that regional and we roll and win ours... who would host the Super? How is that decided...

The explanation I was given was that we would host because we won the regional with the national seed.....

I guess I always assumed it was an NCAA decision when that happens. But I could be wrong.

Even under construction, our capacity is greater than Vandy's. I've always thought that in that situation, the schools put in a bid.

Pretty sure that's what occurred in 07. We won as a 2 and Clemson won their regional as a 1 and we still hosted the super...I think that's right but not 100% sure

Not automatically. It would be up to the Committee to decide which of us was the "higher" seed.

We have the better RPI, but they had the higher conference standing, better SOS, more top 50 wins, and swept us. We have more top 10 wins though by a wide margin.

And while it theoretically isn't supposed to affect anything, obviously our bid would be a lot $tronger than theirs.

Clemson was also a 2 that year. Had they been a 1, they would have automatically hosted the Super.

I thought the bidding plays a much lesser role these days.
