That last fall Cann had 6 intersquad games--while most Coaches have around 25 intersquad games. No wonder we weren't ready to play.

you know i'm not sure if it was fall or spring--just wonder if any of you heard this also.

that's because we had no field. We played some games w live pitching in palmeiro but those weren't real games, due to space obviously. The only real ones we had were in Jackson. That was fall only. We did have some at Dudy Noble this spring.

Could we not have gotten some time on EMCC's field or some other field? Was not scrimmaging that damaging to development? Just wondering why the coaches, not just Canny, wouldn't have figured something out.

The commentators talked about that during the LSU game and they said because we had no field. They did give Henderson a lot of credit for holding things together.

How about this for a stupid question... MSU has a World Class Landscape Architecture and Turf Management department. We could not make a "field of dreams" on South Farm and play baseball on it?

The biggest thing is you can't have team defense, i.e., cut offs, tandems, full fly ball communication etc. the rest can be done inside Palmeiro. Obviously, not ideal, but it's not a valid excuse for us sucking early in the year.

That's an hour away and they would have been using it also.

WHAT ABOUT A HS BASEBALL FIELD? WHEN THE ORIGINAL DUDE WAS BUILT WE PLAYED A WHOLE YEAR IN COLUMBUS.
