I thought I read on here that we were not in it this upcoming year

I did too. Maybe they changed the rule since Us, Auburn, and LSU wouldn't be included- but all are going to be really good next year?

I used to have an SEC Country article bookmarked that clearly said next year's SEC participants are the same as this last season's. They could have been wrong. I hope they're wrong.

Hope it’s true. Would love to host Texas.

Let's assume it's true just for fun. Whose Shaka Smart got returning this year?

you didn't think, there was indeed a thread about this previously where there would be no changes regarding the teams from the last time.

What media outlets?

There were some twitter posts and some articles about it but they were quickly deleted. Guess it wasn't supposed to come out.

Yeah, I've read a million times that the schedule is made two years in advance. And that we weren't in this year's.

I have to think there's room for flexibility and change based on the perceived strengths of each league going into the next year. A team like us which should at worst be Top 5 in the league and will most likely start out Top 20 should not be left out of something like this.

I'm almost positive we're not in the challenge this year.

Don't know if you are joking or not but I think that is exactly what happened. OM played Texas last season

Yeah, I've heard that too. Are the other SEC teams the same ones that played last year? If they are, seems there's a good chance that once again, we got confused with the Bears.

SEC just announced the official schedule. We are not on there, as all of us already knew.

This is all SEC. I don’t blame the Big 12. Just lazy scheduling.

It's the dumbest rule I've ever seen. Why would they have an agreement to keep the same teams for 2 years? Just kill the challenge if they can't do better than this.

I agree. Kill this challenge and go with a conference with at least 12 teams like the ACC.
