What was with the speed gun at all the games this weekend? It seemed to be set to +7-10 mph for all pitchers. For example, it displayed 97 a few times with Pilk pitching Thursday. Although he was bringing the heat, I thought he was a 90-92 pitcher on a good day.

The last 3 road starts (auburn, Alabama, Kentucky), had pilk 86-87. Our gun is a joke

Most of the time home teams calibrate it up for their team and down for the visitors. Mind games. However no explanation for our gun which was definitely high for both teams. They had Kowar at over 100mph several times. It seemed to be about 5-7 to much.

I spoke to a scout at the games and he said our gun is 5-6 mph fast.

hasn't worked right at any games i've been to all year. And, yes, about,7+ too high

I was pretty sure it was in that range based on what these guys normally throw. Good to have some corroboration. Appreciate that info.

Ben McDonald said during the broadcast that it was too fast by 5mph or so.
