Looking back at TCU and Louisville's recruiting class rankings from 2011 to 2017, we are getting a very good recruiter either way.

Schlossnagle (TCU)
2011- 13
2012- 16
2013- 28
2014- 35
2015- 42
2016- 4
2017- 14
Average- 21

McDonnell (Louisville)
2011- 11
2012- 38
2013- 15
2014- 33
2015- 9
2016- 20
2017- 23
Average- 21

So, both have had some down years and also some VERY good years. Both average a recruiting class ranking of 21 over the last 7 years, so going off of these stats they are close to the same in terms of recruiting!

Wish there were recruiting ranking pre- and post-draft. The best classes sometimes could be the one in high 20s that you actually get your guys in school

Schloss got a pitcher to come to school who turned down $1.7 million from the draft, Nick Lodolo. His figure was $3 million and they only offered him $1.75 mil. Maybe Schloss could have lightning strike twice and coax Ginn to coming to college if MLB tries to short change him (which they might)..see link below:

Schloss 2016 class included a first round pick turning down the money and coming to school. A LHP At that.

That's what I was going to say. The 25th best class is probably a top 15 class after the kids that sign pro contracts are taken out of it.

It's probably impossible to prove whether or not they actually recruit with that mentality though

Collegiate Baseball ranks baseball recruiting classes in September after the draft.

Let?s not start an argument about it, but reading the couple of articles that I did, Schlossnagle feels like he is at a disadvantage at tcu (I assume b/c of high tuition to available scholarship money ratio).

How much better can he recruit at MSU? Is he considered to be one of the elite recruiters or does he just do a good job with the coaching part of the game?

Before? In that range. After this year our classes are all top 10 currently.

I think every candidate that has been mentioned among the four- Schloss, McDonnell, Tadlock, and Corbin will all recruit well.
