hmmm. Not well versed enough in this particular arena to know if this is a norm or not.

But now that I think about it, I don't know if I've ever heard of one of our baseball coaches taking the night off for something like this. But graduations ARE important but being a HC for a P5 baseball program has it's drawbacks. interesting.

Regardless if it's normal or not, it is notable that his kid is graduating high school

He certainly can't be criticized for attending his kid's high school graduation. Sounds like he has his priorities straight, at least in that respect.

I seem to remember that Phil Mickelson did the same thing and missed playing in a major tournament because of it. Good for him.

Ahhh, didn't think about that Shotgun.

He has 2 children according to his TCU Bio. a son and a daughter. Not sure about the daughter's age though.

found a 2011 article saying the son was 12 and the daughter was 11. She may be a Jr this year.

It's a HS graduation- I didn't even go to my HS graduation. I was headed to Hail State!

I believe Cohen left for his daughters graduation when he was the coach.

We just recently had a coach take off an entire off-season and opening weekend to play hide the hotdog with his side piece.**

So Cohen is meeting him at his son's graduation to offer him the job? That's different.

I think you are jumping the gun a little. So to speak. Cohen said it would not be announced until the incoming coach's season had ended. His son graduating could be the reason. He possibly is proud of his son and wants to witness his graduation. Not saying Schloss will not be the new coach, but just saying that information like this makes good twitter and message board assumptions or discussions.

I seen it dawg

Hijack...

I thought Cann should and could have handled that better. He shouldn't have said anything in his press conference and just sat him and no one would have known anything. Especially since that game was part of a doubleheader anyway and he didn't have to miss any games anyway.

Not even that. He was just sexting about playing hide the hotdog mostly. Probably got to actually hide it less than 10 times for a lifetime of shame. He's a HOF dumbass.
