These guys have the same "never quit" attitude our Lady Bulldogs Basketball team has. I could never turn the TV off watching them and I can't turn it off with this team regardless of the score.

Probably the best upper classman leaders we have had on any team in any sport ever. They overcame Hendersoning when it mattered most. They won in spite of Henderson and in spite of Cann’s distractions. Mangum is probably the best overall baseball player we have ever had. He plays with the same intensity and love of the game that Mr. Hustle Pete Rose did.

This team has some fight for sure. Macnamee gets some huge credit. He's hitting .301 right now. Small has come back well. The freshmen have contributed in a major way. And now that Self seems to be coming back some we've got a weapon in the bullpen that could help us down the stretch.

If we get in a regional, and I think at this point we will, we could be dangerous.

Up until this point, I haven't thought we had a good enough team to do anything special. Half a season ago, I didn't think we had a shot to be where we are right now. Who knows what tomorrow will bring. I'll just keep watching and cheering until we're done playing just like all of our other teams. Never give up on our guys.
