This is a follow-up to my earlier post re: my lil 2 man plastic fishin' boat...

I need advice on depth finder for seeking out catfish... main priority is being able to see the channels/bottom/depth, with a secondary application of GPS... I don't need to actually "see fish"... just the elevation changes on the bottom. I will be "juggin" predominately...

This one is super cheap:

Lowrance HOOK2-4x Fish Finder with Bullet Transducer (000-14012-001)
★★★★★ 4.6 out of 5 stars. (53) NOW: $89.98 (9% off!) WAS: $99.00*

Should be right down your alley for what you need. Can't beat the price.

A lot of people with smaller boat have the lowrance hook series. Never heard anything but good things.

Tuskie, since you can afford an upscale double wide you may want to look into finders with "CHIRP" technology the definition is much sharper.

Or just do it the real cheap way. Look to see if any birds are diving into the water, any swells or unordinary swells or the main one if you see some other boater hooked up to a big one then you know.
