so the "1-0" was the fact we had already won the doubles matches? since there are 6 courts, don't you have to win 4? what happens if they split 3-3?

If a split in singles happens, would think that is where the doubles point would factor in to determine winner.

So you play 3 doubles matches. One set. Best of 3 doubles matches gets the doubles point.

Then you play 6 singles matches. 3 set max. Each singles match counts for one point. First to 4 points wins.
