This is a direct quote from a baseball coach we admire very much. "You always assess things and always evaluate things at the end of each season"

https://247sports.com/college/louisville/Article/Cardinal-Authoritys-Michael-McCammon-chatted-with-Dan-McDonnell-about-the-future-of-the-Louisville-program-117018943

From the article:
(1) The new AD was a college baseball player at Kentucky, a pitcher.
(2) He was offered the South Carolina job last year and his older son (not a ball player) goes to school there
(3) McDonnell took the job in Louisville to win there, no signs he wanted to build a reputation and bolt - solid citizen, solid man

From other information:
(1) His wife went to school at the College of Charleston and met him at the Citadel- so her time in "beautiful" Oxford could work in our favor
(2) But the McDonnell's are solid citizens with a faith background (That's a plus for Mississippi)
(3) Younger son is still in high-school, a sophomore that plays travel baseball and has a perfect game profile (That's a plus for MSU, the kid is dedicated to his craft)

If we get him it will be because of Cohen being at MSU and Jurich being gone from Louisville. I didn't realize their new AD used to play baseball- so that helps their cause some probably.

I think if he wants to win a NC it would be easier to do so here because of the recruiting base in the South plus his Midwest connections to be honest.
