I heard he wanted to coach but I don't know how accurate that is, and don't know if they meant now or down the road.

He should have declared for the draft and took his chances at FA

Is he not ready to graduate? He's been here four years and presumably taken some summer school each year. Shouldn'dt be far off.

Most of the signs seem to indicate that he just doesn't want to play football anymore.

He was going to be ineligible. So, no, not ready to graduate.

He should get in a trade program at a Juco today. A friend of mine calls the MS Jucos once a month (or so) and says "who's ready to work?"

they start at $55k. One of his best guys is 20 years old.

What field is he in? I have a degree from State, but currently trying to decide if I want to learn a trade at a nearby juco.

He's going to step down a division & play. I've heard he will stay in the south but probably out of MS.

Call the nearest juco and ask for the "campus navigator" in career and technical. Some programs are 1-year and some are 2-year, but regardless of what you choose, you will make bank right away and never be without a job.

This deserves reputation but apparently I've given some to you too recently.

I worked with a woman whose son went through the Heating and Air at some juco. He started out making $50k and now makes $80k because he was bumped up to management after a couple of years. $80k after getting his certification with about 3 years out of school and no student debt.
