Gonna need some pics and some insight on how a yak tournament works. Still working on buying a real yak, but been using a cheapo model and a fly rod and having a lot of fun (we have a travel trailer and the two yals can ride in the back of the truck). Anyway, good luck!!!!

Had a very long week, and have eaten like shit. Long story, but I came damn close to losing my thumb last Sunday in a table saw and have been working insane hours with my hand wrapped up like a mummy. Wanted something light and tasty. Went into Harris Teeter and they had fresh made crab cakes. So I picked up some shrimp and steamed them in Tony C's, tossed them in a Caesar salad, and baked a potato. Settling in for the game with a little Bulliet.

Caught a handful of trout this morning, so fried trout filets & roe (first time trying this and very good), fries and greens.

Ended up being the biggest yak tournament MS has ever had. Great turnout and great time. I weighed 4 trout so I filled out the stringer but couldn’t get that slot red and I grinded all day. Was fun though. Felt like I was a bite away from a shot all day. I’ll post more about it tomorrow

We had boiled shrimp with potatos, corn, and smoked sausage. For Sunday, it is our annual, "Pool Party". This means, take the cover off, get get the furniture out of the storage shed, pressure wash the patio and concrete. Afterwards, we will be grilling chicken and deer meat with boudin. All are welcomed to "party" with us all afternoon. And yes, the kegorator has a fresh barrel in it, and it is at 33 degrees. Plus, we will have the Dogs on the radio for the BB play by play.
